Eight thousand Palestinian martyrs and two thousand missing individuals in Gaza, alongside tens of thousands of wounded, including a million citizens whose homes were destroyed and properties damaged, are the tragic consequences of the ongoing war of collective cleansing against Gaza Strip. This heinous act of crime amounts to a genocide, akin to the crimes committed by Nazism and by the U.S. nuclear bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Confronting this massacre, 120 states stood up in the UN General Council, denouncing the Israeli aggression against Gaza and demanding an end to the genocidal warfare on the Palestinian people. Simultaneously, 14 countries, led by the chief purveyor of international terrorism, the United States, rejected a ceasefire resolution to provide a shield of protection for the Netanyahu government and its campaign of bloodshed, and inflict further suffering on the besieged Palestinian population.

The governments of imperialist countries, under the leadership of USA and Britain, offer unwavering support for the extermination war against the Palestinian people, in stark contrast to the wishes of their own people and patriotic, communist and leftist forces. These forces have been rallying in huge numbers in protest since the outset of the aggression in cities across the globe. For Palestine and its people, the struggle will endure. The United Nations resolution is a testament to the resilience and heroism of the Palestinian people, as well as the solidarity of Arab people and free people worldwide for Palestine, which is one of the last countries in the world still under occupation and oppression.

The lamentable and reprehensible scene is that no Arab regime has taken any action to halt the genocidal war taking place in Gaza. None have dared to commit their military to the conflict. Instead, they are preoccupied with amassing weapons and preparing for potential internal conflicts, and to use their weapons against their own people. While some nations engage in empty rhetoric, they have failed the Palestinian people, leaving them to face this criminal carnage alone. These nations have not even had the courage to provide humanitarian aid through their borders or to sever relations with Israel by expelling its ambassadors.

The foremost objective today is an immediate ceasefire to halt the ongoing massacre and the contentious transfer project still under discussion. Achieving this necessitates bolstering the resilience of the heroic Palestinian resistance on one hand, and intensifying public awareness and political pressure globally, especially within the countries supporting the Israeli state, on the other.

Building on the steadfastness and actions of Gaza's residents and the global support they've received, the Lebanese Communist Party reiterates its call to the Lebanese people, including communists, leftists, patriots, and those who stand against oppression. It urges them to continue their advocacy within the broader context of popular and party mobilization, both politically and organizationally, in Lebanon and beyond. This readiness must extend to thwarting any potential Israeli attacks on Lebanon, and it involves ramping up solidarity movements in the capital, Beirut, and across Lebanon. The primary interest of Lebanon lies in supporting the Palestinian people's right to return and establish their state on all of historic Palestine, with Jerusalem as its capital.

Simultaneously, the Lebanese Communist Party salutes international solidarity and all those who champion freedom mainly communist and workers' movements and institutions, for their unwavering support and calls for escalated action.

Victory stands by the side of the oppressed, and occupation will ultimately fade away.
