“Facebook” banned the official page of the Lebanese Communist Party

“Facebook” banned the official page of the Lebanese Communist Party yesterday under the pretext of violation of its “community standards”, claiming that the posts and news published by the page supports terror and encourages killing.
In this regard, the media office of the Lebanese Communist Party asserts that this decision comes because of the bias of Facebook to the Zionist agenda which acts to silence all voices of opposition and classifies resistance movements and the Palestinian uprising against occupation as terroristic.
The real charges against the page of the Lebanese Communist Party are raised because it names killing as killing, occupation as occupation, massacres as massacres, and transfer as transfer in the same manner as it names thieves as thieves, oppressors as oppressors, and terrorists as terrorists. We are proud of that and we are not apologetic.
We are in a holistic confrontation with occupation, Zionism and imperialism in all possible means and the media war is just a component of this confrontation.
The media office calls to condemn this decision and to organize a solidarity campaign with free speech and political action, and the right of access to social media as well as all media without political restrictions imposed by private companies with agendas, and to spread the news of our party and of the Palestinian people’s struggles in order to unveil the crimes of the occupation and the lies of its supporters.
